Kitplane Builders was created out of a passion for aviation. We believe that if we create services and a facility that makes it easier for pilots to build and fly their dreams faster and safer, more and more people will see kitplanes as great aircraft. Not only are we family, but our complementary backgrounds in both aircraft maintenance, flying and business management will ensure that Kitplane Builders is around to help you for years to come.

The Founders

Sean Fleming, Aircraft Construction and Maintenance

Sean always wanted to work with aircraft. After completing his Aircraft Maintenance education at Canadore in 1992, Sean went on to work in General and Corporate Aviation. He has worked on a variety of planes including Cessnas, Pipers, Learjets and Challengers. In addition to being certified to work on those aircraft, Sean has completed Lycoming Engine Training. Sean has experience both with aircraft maintenance as well as organization, planning and management of crew and parts. Sean is a member of the EAA and RAA.

Paul Fleming, Business Development and Admin (and Pilot)

Paul brings a passion for flying that started when he watched the Apollo moon launch a month after his birthday in 1969. With an MBA from the Ivey School of Business in London, ON, and stints in strategy consulting, advertising agencies and recently as the COO of a internet-based finance company, Paul brings the marketing and management skills to the table that ensures a focus on the customer and business growth. Like Sean, Paul is a member of COPA, EAA and RAA, and is a night-rated private pilot flying out of the Island Airport in Toronto.
